Regional HR Generalist 

 

Summary/Objective 
The Regional Human Resource Generalist performs duties at the professional level in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, employee engagement, recruiting, on-boarding, retention, affirmative action, compensation, benefits and payroll administration support. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who can relate to individuals at all levels within the organization as well as being capable of practicing strict confidentiality. The Generalist must be sensitive to corporate needs, deadlines, employee goodwill and the business needs.

Essential Functions

  1. Maintains all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies and senior leadership.
  2. Manages and tracks all employee disciplinary action, including absenteeism and progressive discipline.
  3. Attends unemployment hearings when necessary, capable of partnering with multi-location sites to support unemployment in different localities.
  4. Assists with recruitment tasks as needed (posting, partnering with vendors, reviews and recommends resumes/applications, schedules and conducts interviews, supports and attend job fairs).
  5. Acts as an employee relations specialist.
  6. Monitors tardy and absenteeism monthly reports and ensures proper metrics are being recorded and communicated each month to all locations.
  7. Manages corporate time-off tracker. Maintains and distributes report of same.
  8. Provides support to sites to maintain employee files in accordance with local and federal regulations
  9. Maintains, updates and distributes multi-site organization charts.
  10. Periodically audits I-9 and E-Verify.
  11. Distributes, monitors and audit employee performance evaluations and ensures they are done in a timely manner in the frequency assigned.
  12. Updates, monitors and maintains eligible salary adjustments/increases based on performance reviews and market compensation research
  13. Reports, maintains and monitors all issues related to open litigation
  14. Reviews benefits with employees and processes enrollment, cancellation or changes. Organizes and manages annual open enrollment communications and election process.
  15. Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs.
  16. Special project work as it relates to the HR function, i.e., new process design, employee handbook revisions, KPI design, charts, presentations, etc.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Required Education and Experience

  1. 3-5 Years of Human Resources experience

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree
  2. PHR or SHRM Certification, or ability to begin certification within 18 months of hire.
