Zero Harm

Working in heavy industry everyday grants us the ability and responsibility to truly improve the environmental impacts of our facilities, as well as the facilities of our customers. Through sustainable solutions, we are consistently finding new ways to reach and maintain our goal of Zero Harm.

Operations

Our approach to metal recovery involves as much recycling of materials as possible. We use slag and aggregate sales instead of using virgin limestone, saving money and lessening the impact on the environment. We make usable products out of waste materials by using briquetting methods, and we also employ only the newest equipment with better fuel standards, such as electric cranes instead of diesel ones.

EMS Standards

Our commitment to the environment and doing our part to protect the planet is more than just a promise. EMS, or the Environmental Management System, is critical to incorporating environmental concern, and we take EMS seriously. Not only do we comply with Government, Customer and Industry standards of EMS, we consistently seek to set the standard for industry best practices.

Energy Reduction Initiative

As a sustainable solutions company we uniquely understand that the energy we use impacts our communities and the climate. That is why as a company we have started the Phoenix Rising Energy Initiative. All of our sites globally have taken a pledge to reduce their energy usage continuously improving their processes to reduce their environmental impact to the air we breathe.

All of our facilities employ the Phoenix Services Environmental Management System and many facilities are also independently certified by the internationally recognized ISO 9001 and 14001 standards for Quality and Environment.
